Littlefairs Builders Merchants trades as a general builders & plumbers merchants and ironmongers serving a mix of building trades, farmers and retail customers over a large rural area of the Upper Eden and Lune valleys, Teesdale and the North Yorkshire Dales. Established in 1941 by Mr Harry Littlefair it is a family business managed since 1972 by his son Arthur. It has grown to employ over 20 dedicated, trained staff endeavouring to provide a quality and competitive service.

The heart of the business remains where it was established in Kirkby Stephen. It is here the main offices, shop, showrooms and stores are located. Branches were added at Hawes in 1963 and Appleby in 1985 and these now form an essential part of the team offering ready access to the wide variety of goods and materials available from stock or to special order.

For over half a century the business has constantly evolved and will continue to change to meet the needs of the future. We look forward to that challenge and in thanking our customers for their support over the years we look forward to continuing to serve them all with enthusiasm.
